“What if someone’s brain implant could be hacked?”
The driving question that became our reality.
Our Story
From Question to Mission
Nave Security was founded on a simple realization: the cybersecurity challenges facing medical devices, especially brain-computer interfaces, require specialized expertise that sits at the intersection of neuroscience, cybersecurity, and regulatory knowledge.
Most security firms test BCIs like web applications. Most healthcare consultants focus on HIPAA compliance for hospital IT systems. Neither approach works for the unique challenges of securing devices that interface directly with the human nervous system.
We built Nave Security to fill that gap.
What We Believe
Our Core Principles
Security Enables Innovation
Expertise Matters
Security shouldn't delay life-saving technology. When done right, it accelerates FDA approval and enables breakthrough innovation to reach patients safely.
Medical device security requires understanding neural interfaces, not just network security. We combine neuroscience knowledge with cybersecurity expertise and regulatory experience.
Research Drives Progress
Where standards don't exist yet, we create new knowledge. Our peer-reviewed research advances the entire field, not just individual companies.
Partnership Over Transactions
We don't just deliver reports. We work alongside your team, transfer knowledge, and build capabilities that last beyond our engagement.
How We Work
The Nave Security Approach
1 / We Start With Why
We understand your mission to help patients. Security is the enabler, not the obstacle.
2 / We Combine Disciplines
Neuroscience + Cybersecurity + Regulatory Knowledge = Effective medical device security.
3 / We Start Lead With Research
Where knowledge gaps exist, we conduct peer-reviewed research to fill them.
4 / We Integrate With Your Process
We don't create compliance burdens. We build security into your existing development workflow.
5 / We Transfer Knowledge
We train your team so you become self-sufficient. We don't create dependency.
